3. Q: How do I register for, or get more information about your courses?

A 2): Vocational Courses

Required Documentation:

To start the process of enrolling in any one of our training programs, potential students must fill out an application for admission, course enrollment agreement and be at least 18 years of age.  Upon acceptance, potential students will be asked to supply additional information or documentation in order to enroll in specific programs of instruction. Once enrollment agreements for the chosen training program(s) are completed and, admission is granted, students do not need to reapply to the school unless they have been dismissed due to misconduct or they have not been actively enrolled in any program for more than one year.

4. Q: I was never in the Military, Law Enforcement or Security fields, can I take your courses?

A: Yes. You can still participate in almost all of our shorter courses. You must have relevant work experience in order to attend our vocational school courses, with the exception of our Krav Haganah Instructor course, which does not require a military, law enforcement or security background but the potential student should have a least one year of Martial Arts experience. 5. Q: Can I take all of the GI Bill® Approved courses in a row?

A: Yes.

  • Cash/Corporate Clients
  • Vocational Rehabilitation
  • Some Veteran Educational Benefits receive a fixed dollar amount to use during a Fiscal Year that runs August 1st thru July 31st. Please contact the VA if you have specific questions relating to your individual benefits

6. Q: How do I apply for my GI Bill® for vocational school training?

A: You can apply online http://vabenefits.vba.va.gov/vonapp/main.asp

or in person at a VA office near you, by filling out a simple application (VA Form 22-1990). If you have already used your benefits and wish to attend our courses, you can go to the link above and fill out form 22-1995, which transfers your benefits to our school.  If you do not wish to apply online, you call 888-442-4551 or, if active duty, you can apply at your base education office.

7. Q: Do my VA Educational Benefits pay for lodging, flights and meals?

A: Yes – Lodging.  Please call or e-mail CRI – 702-222-3489 for hotel info.  We also highly recommend that students contact the VA Student Line – 888-442-4551

CRI will cover meals during training.  Students will be responsible for meals outside of training and flights.

If you are using Vocational Rehabilitation (Chapter 31) then you will need to speak with your Counselor for reimbursements.

8. Q: How much will lodging and meals cost?

A: When you sign up we will send you the names and addresses of the hotels close to our training center. Sharing a room should cost approximately $35 per day and food maybe $30 per day if you eat out. Many of the rooms have kitchenettes.  If you will not be sharing a room, hotel rates can range from $40-$65 per night.

9. Q: If I have already used my GI Bill® for another school, how do I transfer my benefits to your training?

A: You can sign up and fill out a simple online form at VONAPP http://vabenefits.vba.va.gov/vonapp/main.asp

The form (VA Form 22-1995) to transfer your benefits only takes a few minutes to fill out.You will have to enter the name of the school and course(s) you are going to attend.  The name of the school you should use for our programs is: “CRI Counter Terrorism Training School.”  Please do a screenshot of the application as proof, since it will take up to 8 weeks to receive your Certificate of Eligibility.

10. Q: I signed up on VONAPP but I can’t find where I submit the forms.

A: After signing up on VONAPP, select “Create New Form” and then select the form that applies to you, 22-1990 for first time GI Bill users, or form 22-1995 for transferring your existing benefits.

11. Q. My GI Bill® will only cover 60% of the training, are there any other funding sources?

A: Yes.   Please call or e-mail CRI – 702-222-3489 / cri@critraining.com for additional payment options.

You may be entitled to other educational resources (e.g. Tuition Assistance).  Please contact the VA Student Line – 888-442-4551 to inquire further.

12. Q: What will the GI Bill® pay for?

A: If you qualify for Post 9/11 GI Bill® benefits at 100%, the VA will pay for the entire course tuition, course equipment (rental firearms, ammunition, medical gear, etc).  You will also receive a housing stipend (please review your e-benefits account, your Certificate of Eligibility or contact the VA Student Line – 888-442-4551 for your individual benefits)  Because all equipment and material is covered in our tuition, this leaves only travel and food.

13. Q: Where is your training held?

A: Training is held in Las Vegas, Nevada however, we train all over the world.

We will transport students daily to and from certain hotels to training daily.

14. Q: Can I use Montgomery GI Bill (MGIB chapter 30) for your training?

A:  If you elect to use the MGIB just be aware that it will not cover the entire cost of the tuition.

15. Q: What gear or clothing should I bring to training?

A: The gear list is based on the course.  Students who have applied and been approved will be sent a welcome letter that will include the gear list.

16. Q: Can I use Vocational Rehabilitation to take your courses?

A: Yes, we accept Vocational Rehabilitation Benefits.  You must first call and set up an appointment with your Voc Rehab counselor.  During this meeting, they will decide to approve or deny your attendance. In the event that you are approved, they will then send CRI Administration their approval form so that we can start the process of getting you enrolled.  Your individual Chapter 31 benefits will be provided by your Voc Rehab counselor.

17. Q: What certificates will I earn upon completion of your courses?

A: Upon successfully completing the courses below you will receive the following certificates:
1) Advanced Bodyguard / Personal Security Detail / Executive Protection Training
2) Counter Terrorism Instructor
3) Krav Haganah Instructor

These courses are approved in Nevada by the Commission on Postsecondary Education.

18. Q: Can I get a job after I go through one of your courses?

A: Yes, we do help students find work but we can’t guarantee placement since we do not know the student’s background, skill level, character, experience, etc. We do assist with resume building/writing, training, interviewing skills and checklist of items needed while searching (Private Military Contractor Portfolio). In addition, we also have very good working relationships with US and overseas contracting companies on various levels. Each class we complete, students will go on to work domestically and in overseas environments. CRI works diligently to secure employment for our graduates.

19. Q: How does hotels and lodging work while attending your courses?

A:  Students that have been approved to attend a course by CRI will receive a welcome letter with a list of hotels.  Daily shuttle is available at the recommended hotels.

Students that will be driving to our school may stay at any hotel of their choosing.

20. Q: How much do the vocational courses cost and how long is the training?
