KRAV HAGANAH INSTRUCTOR

Krav Haganah Instructor Program: 136 instructional hours over a 15 day period of time. This program of study will equip the student to teach the this method of defensive tactics, as well as equip them with the tools for starting a successful martial arts business. Candidates for this program should have a minimum of one year of martial arts experience and a passion to instruct others. Previous instructional experience is not necessary, as it will be extensively covered in the course.

301 - Introduction to Krav Haganah Instructor Program

Objective: Informs the student about the profession of Krav Haganah martial arts instructor of the Krav Haganah discipline. This will enable the trainee to open his/her own instruction studio business or find employment as a defensive tactics instructor for a government agency or within the private sector.

302 - Releases/ Defense against Grabs and Holds

Objective: The student will know and understand how to effectively release from a variety of grabs, holds or abduction attacks. The student will be able to avoid/escape a violent confrontation involving grabs and holds by attackers. The students will be able to teach those techniques effectively to other students.

303 - Counter-Strangulation

Objectives: The student will know and understand how to effectively protect himself/herself against brutal types of attacks involving strangulation by hand, rope or wire.  Upon completion of this training segment, the students will be able to teach those techniques effectively to other students.

304 - Defense against Knives, Edged and Improvised Weapons

Objectives: The student will know, understand and be proficient with defending himself/herself against violent criminal attackers using knives and other objects. The students will learn a variety of knife defense and knife throwing techniques in order to defend against them effectively.  The student will also learn the Paqua Evasive move and defense against multiple attackers.  Upon completion of this training segment, the student will be able to teach those techniques effectively to other students.

305 - Strikes (strikes, blocks and kicks)

Objectives: Gives the student a working knowledge and skill set on how to protect himself/herself by using punches, kicks and blocks in order to defend against attacks. Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to effectively teach those techniques to other students.

306 - Ground Defense

Objectives: The student will know, understand and be proficient against violent attacks that involve ground fighting.  These techniques are particularly effective against sexual assaults where the vast majority of attacks occur when the victim is taken to the ground.  Upon completion of this training segment, the student will be able to teach those techniques effectively to other students.

307 - Weapon Disarmament

Objectives: Gives the student an effective working knowledge and skill set on how to protect himself/herself against attackers armed with firearms such as handguns, rifles and submachine guns.  The student will learn and be able to instruct unique techniques that will enable them to survive potentially fatal encounters with armed attacker(s), such as armed robbery/assault or an execution attempt.  Upon completion of this training segment, the student will be able to teach those techniques effectively to other students.

308 - Weapon Retention

Objectives: Gives the student a working knowledge and the skill set required to effectively neutralize violent criminal attacker(s) attempting to disarm the student. The techniques in this unit are extremely important for law enforcement agents, security and other operators.  Upon completion of this training segment, the student will be able to teach those techniques effectively to other students.

309 - Tactical Israeli Simulated Shooting

Objectives: Instructs and gives the student a working knowledge and skill set to effectively protect him/her self with a handgun seized from an attacker(s) after disarming them. Once an attacker has been disarmed, it is prudent for the student to possess the working knowledge to effectively utilize the seized weapon in their own defense. This segment includes training with air guns and air soft weapons. Though no live fire training is involved in the Krav Haganah system, a working knowledge of how to use a handgun is extremely important.  Upon completion of this training segment, the student will be able to teach those techniques effectively to other students.

310 - Business Development

Objectives: Gives the student a working knowledge and skill set on how to run a successful Krav Haganah martial arts business/center/school. The student will learn and know how to effectively perform various types of business tasks that involve running a martial arts business.

311 - Teaching Methodology

Objectives: Gives the student a working knowledge and skill set on how to effectively teach the Krav Haganah martial arts system to other students. In this unit, the students will learn how to speak in public, deliver lab type information, understand student needs and limitations, customer body language and learn the art of being an effective instructor/teacher.  Upon completion of this training segment, the students will be able to use these techniques effectively.

312 - Additional Routines

Objectives: Gives the student a working knowledge and the required skill set to effectively teach the Krav Haganah martial arts system routines.  Krav Haganah routines are a constant in every week of the course.  The student will know and understand how to conduct various routines and how to teach them effectively to other students.
